Johnny Lance
Johnny came from a background in film production. He is one of our junior Smoke operators and edit assistants in the Giant team, working on a various promos for E4 and Nickelodeon as well as grading short films.

What were you doing before that?
Production Manager and Directors Representative for a film production company
What drew you into sound?
My love of film and music.
Do you do any sound stuff outside of The Jungle Group?
I play drums, tweak synths, composing music for myself as well as for work. I also enjoy working on short films, editing, mixing, grading, the lot really.
What’s the most challenging part of the job?
Keeping up with forever changing formats and technologies.
What’s the best thing about the company?
The people. It’s such a sociable and friendly place to work.
What’s the strangest brief you’ve had for a sound track?
That would be a toss up between the sound of a chicken being interviewed and a “romantic puddle splash”.
